A committed family man, John has been married since 1978 and has two grown up sons, each highly successful in their own careers, and two grandsons. He loves alternative and ‘Indie’ music with his favourite current bands being Interpol and Bloc Party. His favourite band of all time is The Chameleons.

In 2002 John lost his younger brother Dave who died suddenly of a heart attack. Please take time to look at the dedication.
